I’ve worked in the legal field for nearly ten years, primarily in personal injury law. As a first-generation Mexican American, I’ve always felt a strong calling to help others, especially people in marginalized communities who are facing tough systems and hard choices. That’s what drew me to law in the first place. Now, at BLF, I get to use that same passion to stand up for kids and families during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

At BLF, I work on onboarding and pre-litigation claims, helping move cases forward and ensuring families feel supported. I’m part of the team that keeps everything running smoothly, and I take pride in being someone our team and clients can count on as they begin navigating the legal process.

One of the things I appreciate about working at BLF is how connected and collaborative we are as a team. Everyone brings something valuable to the table, and there’s always someone ready to jump in, offer insight, or help problem-solve. That kind of teamwork creates an environment where we’re constantly learning and growing together, and that directly benefits the families we serve.

A fun fact about me: most people are surprised to learn that I’m pretty introverted! It takes me a little time to open up, but once I feel that mutual trust, my personality shines. Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my family and my dog, Gordo. I love reading, gardening, and doing anything that helps me slow down and recharge. My garden is full of edible plants and native flowers—I love creating something beautiful that supports the environment.

One value that guides everything I do is kindness. Life has thrown some real challenges my way, and through it all, I’ve held onto the belief that being kind is a strength, not a weakness. Whether helping a client through a stressful moment, offering support to a teammate, or simply showing up with patience and understanding, I try to lead with compassion. Because at the end of the day, we’re all just trying to make it through—and a little kindness can go a long way.
