My path to The Button Law Firm and the legal profession is a personal one. It started with my own experience with BLF, after one of my children became injured as a result of daycare negligence. Through that horrible experience, I discovered a yearning to do something more by helping families who have faced similar experiences. From the start, I knew that The Button Law Firm was a team that I wanted to be a part of. Not only did BLF help us get justice for my child, but they also inspired me and mentored me throughout my law school and licensing journey.

Within The Button Law Firm, my work focuses on cases that are or will soon be in litigation. Collaborating closely with Russell, Ashley, and Kaitlyn, I work on complex cases involving catastrophic injuries and championing the rights of children who have suffered from a daycare’s negligence.

Before joining the BLF family, I served in the United States Army as a military police officer. Following my active-duty service, I worked for the Department of Defense in Europe processing national crime records and performing background checks.

After returning state-side, I joined The University of Texas at Dallas, where I worked for 15 years. I worked within the Department of Alumni Relations Office as the Director of University Events. Up until the start of law school, I was a group exercise instructor at the University for over a decade.

I am originally from Okeechobee, FL, but as a child, I changed schools 13 times. Mostly, I lived in and around southcentral Florida and in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I’ve also lived in North Carolina, Germany, and Kosovo.

When I am not juggling kids’ activities and work, I enjoy kicking boxing, indoor cycling, making decorative cakes, going to the gun range, and hiking. But above all, I mostly enjoy a good movie night on the couch snuggled up with the family.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Ben. We have three children—Aiden, Annlee, and Ryen —and a dog named Punkin.
