For as long as I can remember, my passion has always been helping people. I was born and raised in Odessa, Texas, and I have lived in Dallas for 25 years. I am a veteran high school English teacher of 21 years. I’ve always been interested in law, and fortunately, I was offered the opportunity to work for a personal injury law firm. During that experience, my interest grew, and I discovered how this line of work was really helping people in need, especially during a tragic time of their life, like a serious car accident or a life-changing daycare injury.
After working at a personal injury law firm, I decided I was ready to begin a new adventure. I thought about how I could use my experience as a former teacher and combine it with my experience in law, so I was delighted for the opportunity to join The Button Law Firm as an Intake Specialist.
As the Intake Specialist, I will be learning the stories of potential new clients through all lead methods, summarizing case information, and creating electronic files for each client to ensure they have consistent communication with our team members. I will connect with clients by providing thoughtful and compassionate assistance while managing and prioritizing tasks to achieve optimal productivity throughout the intake process.
For fun, I love spending time with my family and doing activities together, such as cooking, family trips, and finding fun things to do in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. I absolutely love Mexican food and eat it probably three times per week – most often enjoying my favorite dish, enchiladas. You can also find me working on publishing my three children’s books that I have written about my grandkids – I have two more to write! In the meantime, I’m excited about my new adventures to come.
