Child SleepingCALIFORNIA - According to WBAL-TV, a baby sleep supplement sold online has been recalled after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) discovered three types of alcohol that were not disclosed on the product's label. The recalled Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water raises serious concerns about infants being unknowingly exposed to harmful substances.

The Button Law Firm (BLF) is not involved in this recall. As child injury attorneys, we represent kids in daycare and child injury cases to help them get life-changing results and justice against bad daycares, schools, and companies that abuse and neglect the safety of children.

What Parents Need to Know About the Babies' Magic Tea Recall

Pacific Health Sciences voluntarily recalled one lot of Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water after FDA testing identified three undeclared alcohols:

  • Ethanol: Approximately 8.3%
  • Methanol: Approximately 0.35%
  • Isopropanol: Approximately 0.48%

The affected supplement was distributed through Secrets of Tea and sold on its website and Amazon.

Parents can identify the recalled product by checking for Lot 25122bw, with a best-before date of December 2028. It comes in a 4-ounce amber-colored bottle inside a blue cardboard box with an oral syringe.

At the time of the recall, Pacific Health Sciences had not received reports of health impacts associated with the affected lot.

What Makes This Baby Sleep Supplement Recall So Concerning?

The presence of alcohol in a product marketed to help infants sleep raises serious questions about product safety and manufacturing oversight.

The FDA warned that exposure to these substances could pose health risks depending on the amount consumed and the child's age and body weight. Infant ethanol exposure has been linked to long-term developmental consequences, while higher exposures can cause respiratory depression and other serious health problems.

But what makes this recall particularly troubling is that none of these alcohols appeared on the ingredient label.

Parents purchasing a product intended for babies should be able to trust that its ingredients have been properly tested and accurately disclosed. When a company fails to identify potentially dangerous substances, children can be exposed to risks their families have no way of anticipating.

What Should Parents Do if Their Child Used the Recalled Baby Sleep Supplement?

Learning that a product you trusted to help your baby sleep contained three undisclosed types of alcohol can be frightening, especially when you have no way of knowing how much your child may have been exposed to.

At The Button Law Firm, we encourage families to immediately stop using the recalled Babies' Magic Tea Baby Sleep Gripe Water and seek medical attention right away if their child is showing symptoms. How BLF Helps Families After Serious Child Injuries

At The Button Law Firm, we understand that a company's negligence can have lasting consequences for a child and their family.

Our child injury attorneys investigate how a child was harmed, what safety procedures were overlooked, and whether the company could have prevented the injury. In cases involving unsafe products, that may include examining product warnings, manufacturing practices, and company records to identify failures that put children at risk.

We also work to understand the full impact of the injury, including medical needs, emotional trauma, and potential long-term challenges as the child grows. Our goal is to help families pursue life-changing results while holding negligent companies accountable for the decisions that endanger their children.

If your child has been seriously injured because of a company's negligence, call The Button Law Firm at 214-699-4409, email intake@buttonlawfirm.com, or fill out our contact form to share your family's experience.
