Please Help Us Congratulate Our May 2019 Teacher of The Month, Fernando Cepeda!
Mr. Cepeda is an engineering, robotics, Spanish and cultural teacher to high school students at Harmony’s Science Academy. It was an honor presenting Mr. Cepeda with this month’s award, and we appreciate all of his hard work both during and outside of school. He is immensely loved by all of his students and we were able to see it first hand in an emotional surprise!
This is what was said about Mr. Cepeda had to say:
“He is my hero! There is nobody more deserving. He is at Harmony Science Academy campus located in Dallas District 10, near one of the highest crime intersections in Dallas!
He keeps our middle and high school kids engaged in school by inspiring their passions in robotics, culture, and even the arts-which are all passions he shares with them in after school and extra-curricular activities keeping them busy, involved, growing, and safe on campus.
He is not only an absolutely outstanding educator, he is a great dad to a young lady whom he dotes on regularly. I don’t know how he does it all, but we are very proud, and we know how lucky we are to have him as one of our dedicated staff members.”

- He has been working with Harmony for the past 8 years
- He is currently working towards his Masters in Spanish Teaching and Culture and will graduate this Summer!
- He is a professional translator
- He currently sponsors three clubs:
- FIRST Robotics Competition
- FIRST in Texas
- Society Hispanic Professional Engineers
