What Happened at This Hunt County Daycare?
CADDO MILLS, TX - Three daycare workers were arrested after a child was allegedly abused at Caddo Kids Academy in Hunt County, Texas. Police were notified of the incident by a child’s mother, who reviewed video footage from that day and discovered her child being abused on camera. The parent took the child to the hospital to be assessed.
Upon learning of the alleged abuse, police reviewed the camera footage. An arrest warrant was issued, and police arrested Courtney Lyn Gaines for injury to a child – a second-degree felony.
The police also notified Child Protective Services (CPS) so they could conduct an independent investigation into the daycare and caregivers. During the investigation, two more arrest warrants were issued for other daycare staff members, Amy Baker and Olivia Grant, both of whom were arrested and booked into Hunt County Detention Center on charges of abandonment and child endangerment. Baker is listed as the owner of the daycare.
