The Button Law Firm Welcomes Margo Valadie
We are thrilled to shine the spotlight on the latest addition to our team at The Button Law Firm, Margo, our new marketing specialist! Margo brings to the table a dynamic skill set, including copywriting, SEO optimization, social media management, and graphic design, embracing the full spectrum of marketing with enthusiasm and expertise. Joining forces with Jacqueline, they form an unstoppable duo, tackling our firm’s ever-growing marketing needs.
Before stepping into the legal domain, Margo double majored in Strategic Communication and Psychology at Texas Christian University. After graduating, Margo’s career took her through the corridors of the toy industry as she worked in a marketing position for a B2B toy and gift-focused company. While it was a great experience, Margo felt a strong desire to contribute to a cause with a deeper social impact. Inspired by her mother, who is an elementary school counselor and an advocate for children’s rights, Margo knew helping children at BLF was the perfect fit. Our firm’s commitment to assisting families affected by childcare negligence resonated with her values and aspirations.
Since her start on Feb. 19, Margo has been on a steep learning curve, navigating the new environment with remarkable organization and adaptability. It also helped that our supportive culture here has made her transition smooth, allowing her to quickly become an integral part of our team.
Margo’s Interests Outside the Office
Away from the office, Margo is a documentary aficionado and keeps an impressive list of all the documentaries she’s seen and her own ratings! She’s always ready to exchange recommendations or dive into a new film. But her love for storytelling doesn’t end there; Margo has set a goal to read 15 books this year and is already halfway through. Her favorite recent read is the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas.
Margo has an active lifestyle, with weekly pickleball games with her boyfriend, Austin, and a love for swimming during lunch breaks. She also enjoys spending time outside with Sage, her mom’s Bernedoodle. While Sage is located in Memphis, Margo takes trips home to visit her puppy as much as she can. Their favorite things to do together are jump on the trampoline and play fetch.
How Her Childhood Shaped Her Path to BLF
Margo’s worldview was significantly shaped by spending three years in Hong Kong during her childhood, an experience that expanded her perspectives. She moved there when she was only eight years old and found a love for experiencing different countries and their cultures. Now, she brings that community-focused mindset to BLF, excited about our firm’s engagement with the community and the positive changes we collectively strive to make.
We couldn’t be happier to have Margo join The Button Law Firm. We look forward to the innovative and impactful ways she’ll contribute to our firm’s mission. If you need a book or documentary recommendation or simply want to welcome Margo to the BLF family, don’t hesitate to reach out!
