APRIL STORY: “Buddy and the Big April Splash”
April had arrived, and with it came gray clouds, drizzly skies, and the pitter-patter of rain.
Most people hurried inside when the rain started… but not Buddy Button.
Buddy zipped up his raincoat, pulled on his bright yellow boots, grabbed his colorful umbrella, and stepped outside with a big smile on his face.
“SPLASH!”
His first jump landed right in the middle of a puddle.
Water sprayed everywhere. Buddy laughed.
“SPLASH! SPLASH!”
Before long, he was hopping from puddle to puddle, making the biggest splashes he could. The rain wasn’t ruining the day — it was making it an adventure.
As Buddy walked through the neighborhood, he noticed something special. The rain was helping flowers grow. It was washing the sidewalks clean. It was filling up tiny streams along the curb. April showers weren’t just about clouds — they were about new beginnings.
That’s what inspired this month’s activities!
