According to the article from Oklahoma News 4, the investigation conducted by the Woodward police department on Boomer Kids Club Daycare revealed troubling details surrounding the sexual and physical abuse of children.
Capt. Darren Navratil of the Woodward Police Department stated, “Some of them were repeated on the same children. So, I’m not certain how many children were victimized, but we did come up with a total of including the original eight instances of child sexual abuse and then about 16 instances of physical abuse of him being rough with the children.”
The owner of Boomer Kids Club Daycare in Woodward agreed to close its doors on Friday, March 15th, following findings that an employee, 19-year-old Tyler Kniest, was allegedly harming children over a month-long period. Kniest faces 25 criminal counts of abuse, including sexual abuse captured on surveillance video.
According to DHS reports, Kniest engaged in various forms of physical abuse, including hitting, kicking, thumping, popping, shoving, yanking, and slamming children. Shockingly, children as young as two were subjected to prolonged time-outs and physical abuse without reason.
