Giving Back Through “Feed the City”
This past weekend, The Button Law Firm’s founder, Russell, and his wife, Sammy, spent their Saturday morning giving back to the community through Tango Charities’ “Feed the City” event — and the results were nothing short of inspiring. Together with a group of local volunteers, they prepared 1,300 meals for people in need.
The event brought together people of all ages and backgrounds with one shared goal: to make a difference. Tables were lined with ingredients, laughter, and teamwork as everyone worked together to pack meals that would go directly to those facing food insecurity.
The Power of Collective Impact
Russell shared that his favorite part of the event was seeing how powerful a small group of people can be when they come together with purpose.
“It’s incredible that a collective small group of people can come together and, in about an hour, make meals to feed 1,300 people,” Russell said. “Everyone can make a difference

— and every table was smiling and having fun while doing it.”
That same idea is something The Button Law Firm deeply believes in. As a small firm, we know that when our entire team works together toward a shared mission, we can create an impact far greater than ourselves. Whether it’s fighting for justice in a daycare negligence case or volunteering in the community, the collective effort of a passionate group can change lives. That’s what makes this kind of experience so meaningful — it’s a reminder that big change often starts with small, committed teams who take action.
Living Our Core Values in the Community
The “Feed the City” event was more than just an opportunity to volunteer; it was a reflection of what drives us every day at The Button Law Firm. We believe in giving our best, staying passionate about helping others, and striving to make a lasting difference in people’s lives.
Seeing so many volunteers come together, each person doing their part to help others, was a powerful reminder of how positive change begins — with compassion, teamwork, and a shared belief that we can always do better for our communities. Those same principles guide how we serve families across Texas: with dedication, heart, and an unwavering belief in the good that can come from standing up and taking action.
Continuing to Serve Beyond the Courtroom
Whether we’re advocating for families in need of justice or helping our neighbors through community service, The Button Law Firm is committed to making a difference for others.
Opportunities like “Feed the City” remind us why we do what we do. When people come together with heart and purpose, amazing things happen.
