- Failed to supervise its caregivers throughout the day to ensure they followed the minimum standards
- Hired unqualified and untrained caregivers. (All caregivers are required to demonstrate good judgment and self-control in the presence of children.)
- Neglected to complete incident reports and file reports with the state that detail the serious injuries children suffered at the center
Sadly, the incident involving the infant at this daycare center was not isolated. The center had 18 citations from the state, highlighting a pattern of unsafe practices that harmed the children in its care. In fact, just a month after this infant suffered injuries caused by the abusive caregiver, the center received four additional citations for incidents that occurred between May and September.
