FRISCO, Texas – A third lawsuit has been filed against Kids ‘R’ Kids of Lawler Farm after another family came forward seeking answers about what happened to their 3-year-old child behind closed doors at the Frisco daycare center.
The Button Law Firm is pursuing this lawsuit after repeated reports of children being abused and neglected by caregivers, parents not being notified, and serious child safety concerns not being reported to the state.
This lawsuit involves a 3-year-old girl whose caregivers were captured on surveillance footage repeatedly using aggressive and inappropriate discipline against children in the classroom. The conduct included yelling at, pulling, yanking, shoving, hitting, and throwing children into chairs.
These systemic failures did not happen just once. They happened multiple times involving multiple different children and caregivers.

A Mother Discovered What Was Happening Behind Closed Doors
The truth began to come out after messages in a daycare management group chat raised concerns about how children in the 3-year-old classroom were being treated.
According to the complaint, the messages reported that two different parents had witnessed caregivers using excessive force against their children. The same conversation stated that three employees had left four children unattended outside on a splash pad that morning.
Knowing her 3-year-old daughter was in that classroom, the child’s mother reviewed the surveillance footage.
What she saw was horrifying.
The video showed caregivers repeatedly acting aggressively toward children. In one incident, her daughter approached a caregiver because her pencil was too sharp. Instead of helping the child, the caregiver aggressively yanked her by the arm and forcefully shoved her into a chair.
The caregiver threw the little girl into a chair three times, yelled inches from her face, and struck her on the leg, according to the lawsuit. The child cried out for her mother, and the force used by the caregiver left bruising on her back.
No parent expects a child to be treated this way in a daycare classroom. Families trust daycare centers to provide safe and properly supervised care—not to expose small children to force, intimidation, or fear.
Kids ‘R’ Kids Failed to Protect Children
After watching the video, the child’s mother informed the owners of Kids ‘R’ Kids of Lawler Farm about what she had witnessed.
She told them the footage showed caregivers hitting children, throwing children into chairs, and screaming in their faces. She made it clear that the caregiver should not be allowed to continue working around children.
Kids ‘R’ Kids did not respond the way a daycare center should when children’s safety is at risk.
The caregivers were not immediately removed from the daycare. Parents were not notified about what had happened. The incidents were not properly reported to the state. Instead, Kids ‘R’ Kids continued allowing the caregivers to remain employed and around children.
The child’s mother was later told by one of the daycare owners that the video footage had been deleted and instructed her to delete her copy as well.
That moment made clear that Kids ‘R’ Kids was not focused on transparency, accountability, or protecting families. When the daycare failed to act, the child’s mother filed her own report with the state, prompting a larger investigation.
State Investigation Uncovered Repeated Safety Failures
The state’s investigation uncovered extensive safety failures at Kids ‘R’ Kids of Lawler Farm.
Investigators reviewed 15 videos recorded across multiple days. The footage showed caregivers grabbing children with excessive force, yanking a child into a chair, aggressively pulling children, hitting children, forcefully placing children on nap mats, and using profane language around them.
The investigation also revealed that multiple parents and staff members had raised concerns about caregivers in the 3-year-old classroom. Those warnings should have been taken seriously before more children were abused.
Kids ‘R’ Kids of Lawler Farm received multiple citations for violating Texas childcare safety laws. The violations included:
- Using prohibited forms of punishment
- Failing to report situations that placed children at risk of harm
- Failing to notify parents of possible abuse or neglect
- Failing to ensure children were not abused, neglected, or exploited
- Failing to understand and follow Texas daycare safety laws
Even after a safety plan was implemented, serious problems continued.
As of July 2026, Kids ‘R’ Kids of Lawler Farm had received 28 citations for failing to follow Texas child safety laws. The center received another citation as recently as March 2026 for using prohibited punishment methods.
