TEMPLE, TX – A disturbing incident at a Temple daycare is raising serious concerns about supervision and the responsibility childcare providers have to keep young children safe.What KWTX Reported About the Playground Incident
According to the article by KWTX, the mother of a 1-year-old boy received a call from Central Texas Children’s Center informing her that her son had been bitten by another child during outdoor playtime.
The bites were serious enough to break the skin, and the toddler was later taken to a doctor, where he was prescribed antibiotics.
After arriving at the daycare, the child’s mother reviewed surveillance footage from a camera positioned outside on the playground. She said the video appeared to show several daycare staff members standing near a doorway while the children were playing farther away on the playground equipment.
According to the mother, no staff members were close enough to intervene when the incident occurred.
