I was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, and moved to Houston, Texas when I turned 8. My first job started at a horseback riding camp when I was 16, and from there on I worked at daycares, horseback riding lesson barns, and summer camps throughout my undergraduate years. Working with kids has always been a very fulfilling experience for me, and I always knew that I would want to incorporate those experiences with my passion for justice and learning about the law - that's when I decided to pursue a law degree.
I went to St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, and earned my degree in Psychology and Criminology. After graduating, I moved back to Houston to attend the University of Houston Law Center, in which I am in my third and final year. At school, I like to stay involved, particularly in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Team and the Education Rights Clinic. In my role as a law clerk at the Button Law Firm, I work closely with all our team on every case. The Button Law Firm’s collaborative approach is what inspired me to want to clerk here, and I look forward to helping our clients every day in cases ranging from daycare injury and foster care abuse to personal injury accidents.
In my time outside of work and school, I have several other activities that keep me busy. I’ve been an English horseback rider for fifteen years and compete as often as I can. I have two rescue pups, Thatcher and Scout, who I love to take on hikes. I love traveling, especially to one of my favorite cities, Austin, TX. Though I’ll never claim to know a lot about sports, I love supporting the Houston Astros and going to as many games as I can each season!
